Description
The Giant Javan Pangolin was a prehistoric pangolin species significantly larger than modern pangolins. Like its relatives, it had a body covered in large, keratinous scales and a long, sticky tongue for consuming ants and termites. Its size suggests it may have been less arboreal and relied more on ground-based foraging. It lived in the forests of Java, likely thriving in tropical and subtropical environments.
